Voyage LA – Meet Noelle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Noelle Miller.

Noelle, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was raised in the small town of Chester, SC where everyone was raised in the church. From the ripe age of 8 my cousin, the Minister of Music, saw my potential and convinced me to do my first choir solo “He Is Lord.” The reaction of the congregation was igniting and I knew then I had a gift and that music was in my soul. With the help of my family, church members, and many hometown supporters I was able to take voice lessons and have opportunities to showcase my budding vocal talents. Upon High School graduation, I received several college scholarships for music performance leading me to the University of South Carolina and the Manhattan School of Music. There, I was able to perfect my craft which ultimately further fueled my passion to sing even more. Post Grad, I landed a position in the Atlanta Opera Chorus and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus, where I began exploring other genres of music and music performance. Currently, I am testing the waters as a crossover artist into other genres of music. I am currently working on a new R&B project to be released in Spring. Due to overwhelming favor and blessings my music career has shown me that my mantra has proven true, “Where Words Fail Music Speaks.”

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Beginning my musical career as a black woman in opera definitely had its challenges. From becoming proficient in singing in different languages, to being underestimated as a classical performing artist and waiting for your time to come. Crossing over into another genre takes me out of my comfort zone. I have to completely let my guard down enough to be open to the overall storytelling. In essence, it requires a new vocal approach as well as total writing, vocal transparency and vulnerability.

Please tell us about Noelle Miller Music.
Noelle Miller Music is a versatile music powerhouse. I am a singer, aspiring songwriter and I specialize in Classical performance and Inspirational music.I am known for by lyric vibrato, passionate interpretation, and the ability to project my voice past the heavens.

What sets me apart from others is my vast eclectic background in the music realm. I can sing with a symphony orchestra, I am able to run a full scale from both an R&B and operatic standpoint and my talent is God-given.

What makes me proud about my business is the overwhelming support from my musical and support team. I understand that in this life “the talent” is a machine and there are several contributing factors that allow the machine to run efficiently. With the help of God I am able to still use my talent to uplift others with a positive message no matter genre I am singing.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I could start over, I would tell myself to maintain my faith. I would trust the process and timing fresh out of the gate. I would not allow seeds of confusion and doubt to obscure my path.

Voyage ATL – Check Out Noelle’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Noelle Beverly.

Noelle, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
The good thing about a story is that the book may have many chapters and in this chapter of my life I am “transitioning.” I am a classically trained opera singer with an M.M in Vocal Performance from the Manhattan School of Music, New York City, New York. I am fluent in the operatic styles of German, Italian, French, and Spanish and yet, I am switching genres and becoming a cross over artist. I am taking my education, my skill set, and my musical know-how and testing the waters as an R&B Artist. I have changed everything about myself and my brand to make sure that when I blossom in this genre I am able to pave the way for other opera singers to explore other musical avenues.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
Since attending the 2019 Grammy’s, Noelle Beverly is my stage name as a solo R&B artist. For the last year, I have been working on my first self titled EP “Noelle Beverly,” in which I tell my love story, my way and in my own sound. Developing my voice for this type of singing has been a labor of love and I am excited to say that I have some of the industry’s best producing on this EP. My first single will be “Caught UP” and available on all streaming sites in August 2019. The purpose of this cross over EP is to show that we as artists, despite genre, can use our talents and leave our mark in every musical way. That is my only muse and motivation for continuing on this new path.

How can artists connect with other artists?
For the first time as a musical entity, I am understanding what other artists mean when they talk about loneliness. The level of dedication and sacrifice needed to grow and sustain often gives you tunnel vision. This causes you to put relationships to the side in order to focus on your goals. As a result, I make sure I have a healthy team of people around me that ensure I networking with building healthy relationships. It makes this process easier when the people around you have the same like-minded goals and ambitions. I have encountered so many amazing entertainers over the years that have encouraged me to do better, to follow my dreams and continue expanding my network. I attend a lot of jam sessions, artist networking mixers, live music events and I would suggest any budding artist do the same.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
My work can be viewed on all social media sites, YouTube, and my website www.noellemillermusic.com.
